The Järvenpää Statement 1011-11-11

Nordic Nerwork for Reducing of Coercion in Care is established in a responce to the recommendations of the Nordic Council of Minister´s mental helth exper forum.

The Nordic Network will support exchange of experience between countries and enhance national priorities to reduce use of coercion and involuntary treatment in mental helth care.

The Nordic Network´s vision is to minimize use of coercion by user involvement at all levels and development of alternatives to coercion scross the Nordic countris.

The  networks aims at supporting indroduction of measurable targets for reducing coercion in the Nordic countries.

The network will promote sharing of best practicis, research, recovery-oriented services, common understanding of concepts and legislation, comparable Nordic statistics and Nordic mutual exchange of staff and users.
